Why There Aren't Any Trains in Florida... (Joke Article)

This is a joke article that I wrote to prove a point that I was making about my opinion that there are seemingly no trains in Florida. I'm currently keeping it on my website because it reminds me that I can write actual journal articles about real news. I plan to write an article in the future about public transportation and passenger trains in the United States

You may have wondered to yourself, "Why aren't there any trains in Florida?"

That's a great question!

It turns out that because so much of Florida's landscape is swamp and marsh, that if they tried to build railroads on it, the trains would sink right into the muck. Lot's of Floridians complain about the lack of infrastructure, but politicians and railroad track construction companies can't do anything about nature!
